I've always liked the blurring double exposed photographs, which has lent itself to some of my more recent self portraits. Some of my paintings have a dark colourful humor to them. (dark subject, colourful palette) My first love will always be realism. The skill it takes to recreate the natural world in paint is mind blowing to me, and I have many years to go before I reach that point. It is nice to sometimes let that go and try new things to see to learn something I might not otherwise do, like the children paintings for example they look a little odd and out of place, not quite sure of their stage in life, but that seems to make them loveable.
